Patak's curry pastes are wonderfully delicious, and very convenient. I've used their Tikka Masala paste to make Chicken Tikka Masala many times, and have always been very happy with the results. Unfortunately, I can't find the Tikka Masala paste locally, so I was happy to see it for a reasonable price on Amazon.com. I anxiously awaited the arrival of my pastes, but when they got here, one of the jars was broken, and a second jar's lid had been knocked loose. I had to carefully extract the other four jars, and wash them off before I could store them. So of the six jars of Patak's Tikka Masala paste that I ordered, only four arrived intact.Of all of the ready mixed Indian spices, sauces and pastes I find this the most agreeable. I use it as a marinade and grilling sauce for chicken tikka in a recipe that they once had on the bottles but seems to have vanished.4 tbs. Tikka Paste1 tbs. Hot curry paste1/4 cup yoghurt (I prefer to use Greek yoghurt)Mix thoroughly and marinade the chicken for about 6 1/2 hours. Grill in the oven at 400 degrees for 22 - 25 minutes (depending on the size of the bits)A Tandoor is much hotter, but that temperature gives you time to have a starter and still seals in moisture.Serve with raw onion and Naan or Roti.I received my bottles in perfect shape. I made the recipe on the label and it was great (with a few modifications). I used a pound of chicken breasts instead of 8 ounces, 4 tablespoons of the paste instead of 5, and it came out great. Highly recommend this sauce.We use a lot of curry products. One of our favorites is Tikka Masala. I've purchased foil packets before, which were OK but I wasn't happy with the amount per serving. The jars are nicely sized and nicely priced. Excellent flavor.If you like Indian Food, this is the best (I have tried) for home cooking.this product is sold by unit also (you do not have to buy 6 jars to try it)Serve it with Basmati rice and enjoy.This is Paste, not sauce. Then it last longer.This is suppose to be curry paste, look at the jar, it's curry sauce! It's not the same as curry paste.
