Honey Dipper Lid for Regular Mouth Mason Jars - 16 oz Orange Jarware - Perfect for Honey Dispensing, Tea Stirring & DIY Crafts

I purchased this in 2018. I reordered to give as gifts. The first thing I noticed is that the color is different than the first one I purchased. Then I noticed that it was too tall. I pulled out the dipper from the lid and put it back in, pushing hard until it was completely seated into the lid, shazam! it fit in the jar. The screw lid will not screw on down as far as just a canning lid because the dipper is thicker than a canning lid but it is still a tight fit. I am using Ball Jars. I wish it was a brighter orange like the first one but it is functional and gets the job done.I like this however it only got 4 stars because it would not fit in the lid very well. But still works good.I read many reviews for this and looked forward to storing my honey into a pint size mason jar, which would make reheating the honey when it crystallizes much easier. This dipper is something my husband has desired for using the honey. The dipper stick however, was a little too long. We tried to trim the top of the stick that inserts into the lid, but that was super hard. We managed to get it a little shorter, but the lid doesn't close well, and we assume the stick is still a bit too long. We're not going to try and shorten this again; due to the difficulty we had trimming it the first time. So, the lid fits on the jar slightly off and not all the way sealed.Well made material but will not snap in the jar ring. Easy to wash , not a bad value just wish it would have fit as shown in the pictureThe honey dipper once attached to the ring doesn’t fit the 16 oz jar I have. I have a friend who cans and she is looking for a “taller” 16 oz jar. If I don’t find one, then it will have to be used on quart jar and need LOTS mor honey.I really like the idea of this honey dipper that is supposed to fit a pint canning jar. However, it did not fit my pint Ball jar. It fit the lid ring perfectly; but, when I tried to screw the lid ring down it would not screw down. The dipper itself is about 1/8” too long. I had to use a sander to sand down the dipper end so that the lid would screw down. I recommend the design be modified to fit correctly. It works well with that modification.I wanted to love this product but…it was hard to get it in my mason jar lid! Then it wasn’t air tight so the honey started crystallizing.I buy honey in bulk so I wanted this to work.Honey dropper worked great like all others.When I first received this item, I thought (like many other reviewers) that the stem is too long to fit into a standard 16oz mason jar. I was sure that the top had "clicked" into place inside the metal lid collar, and the stem was still so long it was pushing against the indentation at the bottom of the jar, preventing me from screwing it closed. I read many other reviews with this same issue, and a significant number of people said they either cut the end of the honey dipper off, or pulled the stem out of the top and cut the stem shorter. You don't need to do either of those things! The stem fits very tightly into the top, and at first I thought it was glued in place. It's not. I twisted and pulled it pretty hard, and it eventually came out. I was going to trim it, but thought I would have one more try at just pushing it back into the top and - voila. The manufacturer hadn't originally inserted it all the way into the top, leaving too much stem hanging out. Once I was sure I had pushed it all the way into the top, it was about 1/8" shorter, and it fits into my standard 16oz mason jar just fine.
